The third leg of the 2008 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup presented by Swatch will take place on Friday and Saturday, 9th and 10th of May. For the first time ever the event will be held in Denmark.
Copenhagen will host this, the final World Cup event before the Olympics in Beijing. More than 120 professional riders from all over the world will compete for medals and Olympic participation.

Since it's inaugural Live webcast of a UCI BMX Supercross event in February, the team at Freecaster.tv have been waiting in anticipation for the next fixture.
Round 2 of the UCI SX series comes to you from Adelaide Australia and if the action from Madrid was anything to go by, you wont want to miss this. The world's top 200 BMX racers will be hoping to qualify for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing but only 8 can make it to the final!
The event will be held over two days with the athletes going though grueling time trials and qualifying heats to determine those who will continue on. So only the best of the best will make it to the finals on Sunday.

Seven National Federations are sending their BMX athletes to the World Cycling Centre (WCC) in Aigle, Switzerland, this month to prepare the second leg of the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup.
Norwegian BMX rider Sebastian Kartfjord arrived at the WCC yesterday for a week long training camp. Before the end of the month the centre will also host World Cup hopefuls from Italy, the Netherlands, France, Lithuania, Russia and the Czech Republic for training camps lasting between three days and three weeks.
Lithuania’s delegation, Vilma Rimsaite, is no stranger to the WCC facilities: she was a trainee at the centre in 2005, 2006 and 2007.

USA Cycling announced today the eight athletes it will send to the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup event in Adelaide, Australia, April 12-13. The Adelaide Supercross is the second of five UCI BMX Supercross events in 2008 and will also serve as the 16th of 18 races that factor into the USA Cycling BMX rankings on the men’s side and the 14th of 16 for the women.
Five men – Kyle Bennett (Conroe, Texas), Donny Robinson (Napa, Calif.), Steven Cisar (Altadena, Calif.), Mike Day (Santa Clarita, Calif.) and Tyler Brown (San Clemente, Calif.) – received nominations to the team. Bennett and Robinson were automatically selected as the top two riders in the current 2008 USA Cycling Elite Men’s BMX Rankings. Cisar, Day and Brown received coaches’ selections.
Three women were also selected for the squad – Arielle Martin (Pleasant Grove, Utah), Jill Kintner (Seattle, Wash.) and Amanda Geving (Largo, Fla.). As the top athlete in the USA Cycling Elite Women’s BMX Rankings, Martin received an automatic nomination, while Kintner and Geving were coaches’ selections.
