Snap Cover nov/dec 1998
Today we are going back in time and see what Snap Magazine showed us in the november/december issue of 1998. One of the headliners was the NBL race in South Park. NBL South Park - The most anticipated race of the year. Year after year there's one race everyone can't wait to attend-the NBL's "Stars 'N Stripes" National. Located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the South Park track is nearly every rider's favorite. This track's got almost everything: a cool, slightly downhill layout, technical rhytem, long and wide open straightaways, and best of all, big jumps. The track has been around for years and seems to get better with age. Each year the promoters make small modifications, and these changes always add to the track's popularity. Since the race is held on the weekend of the Fourth of July, you can usally count on good weather. Outdoor tracks and races tend to be the best, with the smoothest surfaces, the widest straights and the fastest head-to-head racing. South Park is one of the kings and this year is still reined supreme.

Snap T.J. Beach
Haro's T.J. Beach came up the coast from Florida and caused a commotion in the 17 Expert Ranks. T.J. is fast and rides with style.
Todd Lyons
This backflip by Huffy's Todd Lyons probably goes down in the books as the longest distance flip ever done (around 30 feet). It might not look like he's going to make it, but he pulled it clean - twice.

So there you have it, we are going to try to go back in time every monday from now on, and give you the headliners from the old days. If you got a nice old school article and you want it published here just send it to info at bmxaction dot net, or submit it with the form. Peace out!
