Stracka: Social Network for Golfers

Stracka is a social network focused on the well known sport golf. This is by far the best website I know if you are into golf, they have a huge database available with courses over whole the world. I think the website is real easy on the eyes and has a lot of cool features.

If you sign up as a site member on stracka.com you can instantly upload pictures, send messages to other users, start writing a blog and keep all your statistics nicely organized in your profile. This is a great chance to meet other golfers that play at your courses.

The best feature of Stracka is in my opinion the possibility to view the golf courses in a map view which contain neat markers of every hole and distances to every hole from the start position. On top of that you can download the course map to view in the Google Earth program. It's also possible to watch a video tour of the golf course and view photos of it naturally.

Now if you have problems with reading a golf course, more specific the green you are strongly advised to take a visit to Stracka. The team of Stracka has created a feature called Stracka Line™ which will help you with this problem.

As the site says: “The Stracka Line™ is patented process for creating a custom "Greens Guide" designed to aid a golfer's ability to read the complex breaks on a putting green. We use state of the art laser land surveying technology to scan the surface of the green for millions of data points accurate to the millimeter to pick up even the most subtle elevation changes.
