The Official Shortlist for the 2017 Past Sport World Awards has been introduced. From 1790 -1830 traditional sport undertook a bit of a bashing – manufacturing facility homeowners wished an everyday working week and property house owners feared the damage caused by the big crowds attracted to play and watch sports.
However massive gatherings usually meant that there was a lot of social dysfunction, so common, organised, rule-ruled sport on a national scale started to emerge at this time.
Now that many people are mother and father, teachers or coaches, youngsters’s first introductions to sports takes on a whole new life of its personal.
